The Catfé Lounge
Michigan's cat café where the cats are the rescue. Grab a coffee, settle in for an hour, and meet the cats who live here. Almost all of them are available for adoption.

$18per person
Admission includes coffee or tea and an hour with the cats. Every dollar goes straight to their care, and since we're a 501(c)(3), it's tax-deductible.
We welcome up to 15 guests per hour. Walk-ins are fine when there's room, but booking ahead guarantees your spot.
We don't partner with a rescue. We are one.
Most cat cafés work with an outside rescue. The Catfé Lounge is part of Ferndale Cat Shelter itself, so the cats you meet are our cats, cared for by our volunteers and vetted by our vet.
You don't need to be adopting to visit. Come to read, work, unwind or just hang out. If someone steals your heart, a volunteer can walk you through adoption on the spot.
House rules
A few things that keep the cats happy and everyone safe.
- Sanitize your hands when you arrive.
- Sign the waiver before you go in.
- Keep hot drinks covered with the lids provided.
- Be gentle, and let sleeping cats sleep.
- Only give treats a volunteer hands you.
- Most of our cats have claws, so move slowly.
- Supervise children under 7 at all times. Volunteers can't babysit.
- Ask us anything. We love talking about the cats.
